Cookie Policy

Plain-language detail on the cookies and trackers we use, and the controls we give you, on every device.

01. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your preferences, to keep you signed in, to measure how the site is used, or to deliver third-party features such as embedded calendars and videos.

Alongside cookies, modern sites use similar tracking technologies (local storage, session storage and equivalent client-side markers) which we treat as equivalent for the purpose of this policy.

02. Lawful basis

This site applies a strict opt-in consent model aligned with GDPR standards (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and applicable UAE privacy expectations under the Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, the "PDPL").

Strictly necessary technologies operate without consent. Every other category (analytics, third-party embeds) is loaded only after you give explicit, informed, unambiguous consent. Scrolling or closing the banner does not constitute consent.

03. Categories used on this site

Necessary (always on; cannot be turned off): kyma-cookie-consent, a localStorage entry that records your consent choice for up to 12 months so the banner does not reappear on every page view; NEXT_LOCALE, a first-party cookie that remembers your preferred language (EN, IT or AR) for up to 12 months.

Analytics (opt-in): Vercel Web Analytics, first-party, cookieless tracking implemented through anonymous fetch beacons. It collects the page path, the referrer, an approximate country derived from the IP address and the device class. We do not intentionally share personal data with advertising networks and no cross-site profile is built.

Third-party embeds (opt-in): the Cal.com booking iframe, loaded only when you click "Open calendar" AND have given consent. Once loaded, Cal.com may set its own session cookies on the cal.com domain to operate the booking widget; those cookies are governed by Cal.com's own privacy notice at https://cal.com/privacy.

04. How to manage consent

When you first visit the site you are presented with a banner offering a clear binary choice ("Accept" or "Decline"), both on equal visual footing.

You can change your mind at any time through the persistent "Cookie preferences" link in the footer, which is available on every page. Clearing your browser's localStorage for kymatalk.com also resets the choice and re-shows the banner on the next visit.

05. Withdrawal of consent

Under GDPR Art. 7 and the equivalent UAE PDPL provisions, withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Selecting "Decline" in the preferences panel immediately stops the loading of non-essential trackers and removes those already set, where technically possible.

Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.

06. Third-party cookies

The only third-party domain involved on this site is cal.com, and only after you actively open the booking widget AND have given consent. Cal.com may set its own session and preference cookies on the cal.com domain. Those cookies, and the personal data Cal.com collects, are governed by the Cal.com Privacy Policy available at https://cal.com/privacy.

We do not embed Google Analytics, Meta pixels, TikTok pixels, LinkedIn Insight Tag or any advertising network on this site.

07. Browser controls

All modern browsers let you block or delete cookies directly. Consult your browser privacy settings to manage or delete cookies.

Please note that disabling strictly necessary technologies may prevent the language selector from remembering your choice and will cause the cookie banner to reappear on each visit.
